To be, or not to be — authentic?

Have you experienced the guilt of being yourself? The guilt of boldly expressing all that you’re passionate about, of following your dreams, of being authentic in a world that promotes more of the same?

You’re not alone.

You’re not alone in feeling the guilt of being authentic.

This guilt is, in fact, a collective guilt — of generations being denied the right to use their free will, to stand out with their identity and to pursue what is rightfully theirs.

Our human individuality has been suppressed for decades. It has been moulded into templates that supply the false monarchs of society with the energy, ideas, willpower, faith and desire to deliver their vision for the future. A vision that only benefits a select few while leaving the rest hopeless, out of joy and balance, restless, broken, disappointed, and plugged in to a system that is fundamentally flawed: the current matrix.

To be authentic is to break free from the flawed matrix that encourages self-abandonment.

To choose yourself instead of choosing to be a replica is to make the bold statement of “I choose freedom — I choose love”.

Make no mistake, there will be resistance, but it will be no greater than the resistance you experience when you go against your own Soul for years and call your existence on Earth anything other than survival.

“To be nobody-but-yourself — in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else — means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”

– E.E. Cummings

Choose to be authentic!

To be authentic is to disappoint people who have placed expectations upon you as to who you’re supposed to be.

To be authentic is to liberate yourself from the self-hatred collected from every attempt to impress others by being someone subdued in order to fit in.

To be authentic is to let go of the people who want to control the narrative as to who you are and who you’re not.

To be authentic is to let go of the shame and guilt of not succumbing to what others expect of you for the sake of keeping up with appearances.

To be authentic is to allow yourself to just be and no longer over-explain to people committed to misunderstanding (you).

To be authentic is to embrace all parts of you and roar with joy for every day is a new day of self-discovery.

To be authentic is to stay true to your values opposed to being a hostage to other people’s manipulation tactics.

To be authentic is to stand in your truth and let your unique individuality dance with those who want to move with you.

To be authentic is to allow yourself to bloom and change and grow into a greater version of yourself with every sunrise.

To be authentic is to forge your own path along with others who are equally at peace with who they are.

To be authentic is to serve your Soul, to listen to the truth of your heart, to follow the vision in your mind, to feel the joy in your body.

To be authentic is to claim your independence from a collective thinking that only benefits the group leaders who tend to lack empathy towards your aching heart so long as you look after theirs.

No one outside of you has the power to decide your destiny, even if their games of manipulation are successful for a while.

Choose yourself in a world that tells you that you are difficult to love — they know that you are easy to love, but if you knew it, too, you’d be impossible to manipulate.

Follow your heart and let it lead you to creating the most abundant version of your life!
